We’re looking at Vale’s appointment of Darren Moore as their new manager today, the former West Brom, Doncaster, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield boss having been brought in on a five-and-a-half year deal to replace Andy Crosby.

The appointment would have dominated the headlines even if Vale’s game at Peterborough had gone ahead tonight – but the match was postponed two hours before kick off after heavy rain left the pitch unplayable.
