It was good to catch up with Carol Shanahan this week to discuss a wide range of issues.

Carol’s interview with us last October remains one of our most popular editions and she agreed to sit down with us again to mark one year since The Valiant was launched.

Plenty has happened since then, not least the club’s relegation, a major rebuild of the squad in the summer and an encouraging start to the new campaign under Darren Moore.

Carol and husband Kevin took over the Vale five-and-a-half years ago and have led the club through plenty. But maybe the last 12 months have been the most testing.

So, it was interesting to hear from her about the Vale, the club’s future, the pressures of being an owner and coming through a relegation season.

The interview is our main feature in this evening’s edition but we also have talking points and updates from Darren Moore’s press conference ahead of Saturday’s game at Notts County, plus more news and nostalgia.

If you are interested in subscribing, our £40 deal includes at least 150 editions over the next 12 months so less than 27p per edition. There is also a £5 monthly option or a free trial available.
