League Two beckons for Port Vale after Fleetwood agony
A look at Port Vale after their dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Fleetwood Town
Port Vale’s grip on League One football was loosened further as they blew a 2-0 lead at home to fellow strugglers Fleetwood.
Vale were in command after Jensen Weir’s 18th-minute opener was followed by Ethan Chislett’s penalty two minutes before the break.
Darren Moore’s side were on the back foot for much of the second half but were almost home before Jesse Debrah’s poor header allowed Jayden Stockley to pull a goal back on 88 minutes. Stockley then headed home a corner in the third minute of stoppage time as Vale were left hanging on for a draw which leaves them third-from-bottom, five points from safety with two games in hand.
