Relegation, recruitment and planning for League Two
An in-depth look at Port Vale after they were relegated from League One

Hello and welcome to our Monday evening edition of The Valiant for April 22.
We are looking at the Vale, on and off the pitch, as they prepare for League Two after relegation was confirmed with Saturday’s defeat at Bolton.
Vale still have to play one more game this season, at home to Cambridge on Saturday, but the focus has to be on this summer to try to hit the ground running in 2024/25 under Darren Moore.
We’ve got the views of promotion winner and pundit Adam Yates and supporters’ club chairman Mark Porter in a bumper edition that also includes plenty more news, analysis, opinion and nostalgia.
Just a bit about us, we’ll be covering the Vale with at least 150 editions a year from the day you sign up, but your subscription also gives you access to all 110 previous editions in our archive.
There’s currently an offer of £20 (50% off) for your first-year’s subscription which will work out at around 13p an edition over the next 12 months.
