Swashbuckling Vale show promotion class
A look at Port Vale after the 3-0 win at home to MK Dons

Hello and welcome to our Sunday edition of The Valiant for March 16.
Vale fans were singing about promotion after their side crushed MK Dons 3-0 in Burslem to move within two points of the automatic spots with a game in hand.
Darren Moore’s side couldn’t find a goal to show for their high-tempo start to the game but were finally rewarded on 28 minutes when Lorent Tolaj dispossessed Nico Lawrence and finished with composure.
Jayden Stockley doubled the lead on 53 minutes when he flicked home Ronan Curtis’s inswinging cross – and Vale’s dominance was reflected in stoppage time when substitute Ben Garrity ran through to dink the ball over the keeper on his return from a month out injured.
The win was Vale’s first in five but the manner of it gives renewed belief they can push on and return to League One at the first attempt.
