Vale booed off after Carlisle frustration
An in-depth look at Port Vale on and off the pitch
Hello and welcome to our Sunday morning edition of The Valiant for December 22.
Not a thriller. Vale’s winless league run stretches to five games after they slogged out a goalless draw at home to Carlisle.
Vale were booed off at half time and more vociferously at full time of a scrappy game as a point apiece keeps Darren Moore’s side second and lifts the Cumbrians off the foot of the table.
Ethan Chislett threatened for Vale early and Jayden Stockley headed just over after the break but the visitors had a goal disallowed for a foul in the third minute and deserved their point.
We’ve got news, analysis, opinion and reaction in this morning’s edition as we reflect on a frustrating afternoon.
