Hello and welcome to a special edition of The Valiant for Wednesday March 6.
We’re asking for a favour from you. We’ve been delighted with the feedback for the newsletter, and with the numbers who have subscribed having gone past 1,000 last week, just five months after we launched.
But we want your help to improve. What can we be doing better? What would you like to see more and what would you like to see less?
If you are a paid subscriber, are you getting value for money? If you are on a free trial, what would persuade you to convert to a subscription?

In a terrible season on the field, The Valiant has been tremendous. Information from the club is heavily sanitised and, although, at times, I would like a greater critical analysis of performances, I realise that you have a fine line to tread. The journalism is first class, reminiscent of what we used to read in our local printed versions. As a Vale exile it is invaluable to be able to keep up with what is happening at Vale Park. My only complaint is that since you started with The Valiants the team has rarely won a game! I don’t blame you personally for this and , at times, feel sorry for you in having to watch and report on some of the woeful performances by the players. Thanks and well done!
Best thing to have happened this season is this newsletter.
I sincerely hope more people subscribe and it’s viable long term.
Print media may be dead, but there is definitely a space for quality journalism, which is what you provide.
Thank you for all your efforts, you’re managing a disgruntled fan base extremely well.
Shame the club aren’t.
